Anyone who says they like it is in my opinion trying to be 'arty' and pretentious cos no-one could sit through an hour and a half of this tripe and truly think it was fun.

I went to see Swiss Army Man excited about a potentially unique movie. Now we were fully financed and the train took off. The directors are coming in today at 3PM. His mother appears to be kinder towards him but his father is dominant. Necrophiliacs everywhere love (to smell) this.
Usually, fart jokes are associated with bad raunchy comedies in the likes of Adam Sandler's recent career, or really uncreative family movies. For her, it was about sex and death and love and she completely related to it. She did. MAGICAL, would be the one word I'd choose to describe this film.
It was terrible. Bostock says breathing is "the body's very own Swiss Army knife," because it affects everything. At this point you should know that farting is an essential plot device in this movie and that it is actually used to underline it's statements. One can also argue that the entire movie is a metaphor.

I love Paul Dano, so watching him make friends with a corpse that farts, gets an erection, talks, sings and dances is quite surreal. Don't be fooled by many of the reviews; Swiss Army Man is a rigorous and unflinching portrayal, Much more than just fart jokes, 'Swiss Army Man' is deep & unpredictable. And that’s how it happened. This is simply the best movie of 2016 in my book. Don't waste even 3 minutes on it, really, it's utter drivel. Now we just needed the remaining financing. I don't care whether you're male, female, straight, gay or whatever, if you have just a little bit of weird inside you, this movie is for you.
