Courses for which academic amnesty is granted will: Remain on the student’s permanent record; Be recorded on the student’s undergraduate transcript with the original grade followed by an asterisk (*); Not be included in the calculation of the student’s grade point average because no credit is given; Not be used to satisfy any of the graduation requirements of the current degree program. Through the application of academic amnesty, the student’s prior academic record can be excluded from current work under certain conditions. A student who wishes to ask the University to amend a record should write the University official responsible for the record, clearly identify the part of the record the student wants changed, and specify why it should be changed. The grading system is based on achievement of expectations in a class. be an undergraduate, full-time or part-time, degree-seeking student at the University; not have been enrolled in any postsecondary institution for a minimum of three (3) consecutive terms (including only fall and/or spring terms) prior to the most recent admission to the home institution.
