She ties him up with duct tape and drives to the next house. The 3rd she helps escape, and is the only logical one. Mr. Tyson's work was also excellent. Sarah and Josh are married suburbanites. Reminiscent of the exploitation films of the 1970's, Bound to Vengeance is a brutal revenge film that is both gritty and gut- wrenching.A young girl, barely in her 20's, is chained and held captive in a derelict basement in the middle of nowhere.
The film had its world premiere on January 23, 2015 at the Sundance Film Festival and stars Tina Ivlev. Building up momentum and tension, drawing you in...the BAM it just get's to be too much. I know that most movies are fiction and that we are not only supposed to not believe what happens on screen, but we should also not expect the people nor their environment to conform to what occurs in real life. She beats him with a wooden bar before taking him to the van. To her horror, she finds Katrina - the last victim - lying inside. The use of flash-backs was very well done. You can get cheap creature flicks, poorly acted and ridiculous slasher films, and on the rare occasion you can get a brutal and original film that merits your attention.Bound to Vengeance is an intense film unlike most, it is gruesome and refuses to look away at the horrifying reality of sex trafficking and sexual assault. While freedom is just around the corner, Eve decides to reverse the roles and forces Phil to disclose the location of other victims. Eve shoots both of them, killing the fat guy immediately and leaving the skinny guy bleeding to death.
A young girl, chained in the basement of a sexual predator, escapes and turns the tables on her captor. Subject based in reality. Eve now realizes that her boyfriend and Phil are behind all of the kidnappings, including hers. If her captor did get free at least he knows now where she is. It really unnerved me due to the subject matter and I watch a lot of horror movies. Bound to Vengeance After finding a phone inside the house, she tries to call the police, but it doesn't work. At times it becomes downright laughable. It’s confused at best, though it’s more likely that the film’s misguided pseudo-feminist subtext is a result of simple thoughtlessness.
When she wakes up, Phil is holding her tight, telling the tall guy to shoot her leg, like she did to him before. In the 1980's this could have been the second film of a drive-in theatre double feature. He taunts her that she caused the death of those victims (Nina, Laura, and Dylan - another victim girl who appears in the flashback footage with Eve at an amusement park. The running time is slightly short but quite a lot happens in that time, yet you are drawn in without it ever feeling rushed, the pacing is perfect.
