DH2019 will be held in Utrecht, Netherlands, co-organized by the University of Utrecht, the KNAW, and CLARIAH, 9-12 July 2019. Research Practices in Digital Humanities in India, Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License, Association for Computers and the Humanities, Australasian Association for Digital Humanities, Canadian Society for Digital Humanities / Société canadienne des humanités numériques, European Association for Digital Humanities, Japanese Association for Digital Humanities, an overview of facilities at the host institution, a summary of local institutional engagement and support for the organizers, and contingency plans in case of problems, possible arrangements for social events, including the conference banquet, options for accommodation, including provisional costs and especial attention to low-cost student housing, travel information and advice for participants, a provisional budget, with an estimated registration fee, options for payment (credit card, foreign currency, etc.)
Short paper and poster proposals are especially welcome and, based on peer review and its mandate to create a balanced and varied program, the Program Committee may offer acceptance in a different category from the one initially proposed. The 2018 Digital Humanities Conference, organized by The Association of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO), El Colegio de México, La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and in collaboration with La Red de Humanidades Digitales, is a space for diversity and dialogue in digital research and teaching across all arts, social sciences and humanities. To facilitate the production of the conference proceedings, authors of accepted papers will be asked to submit final approved versions of their abstracts via the DHConvalidator, available through ConfTool, which creates a TEI text base of conference abstracts for further processing.

Workshops endorsed by an ADHO Special Interest Group (SIG): Workshops endorsed by a SIG and focused on a topic related to the concerned SIG are required to follow the same instructions as other workshops and will be subject to peer review, but will be given special consideration by the Program Committee.

Bid Organizers are discouraged from bringing gifts for the Steering Committee to this presentation. The theme of “Bridges/Puentes” underscores the conference’s commitment to making our organization more global and diverse. The week of the conference includes of 3 days of meetings of ADHO’s governing body and its constituent organizations, as well as peer-reviewed workshops; 3 days of peer-reviewed panels, papers, and posters; and 1 day of social excursions.
The peer-reviewed academic program is developed by an international Program Committee, which is appointed by the COs. Local organizers at the host institution are responsible for developing the conference website, providing facilities, producing a collection of abstracts, organizing a conference banquet, and coordinating any other social events that the local hosts think appropriate. DH2018 will be using double blind peer review. Written proposals should include the following: The DH2022 host will be selected by the ADHO Steering Committee at the DH2019 conference in Utrecht, Netherlands. Participants in pre-conference workshops and tutorials will be expected to register for the full conference as well as pay a small additional fee. Long Papers Proposals for long papers (abstract maximum: 1500 words) should deal with substantial or completed research; report the development of significant new methodologies or digital resources; and present rigorous theoretical, speculative, or critical discussions. According to the three-year regional rotation schedule adopted by the ADHO steering committee in 2014, DH2022 will be hosted in Europe. Find out more below.
