Even consider a certified pre-owned from a dealership. I would advise you to stick to used cars at new car dealerships only.
In other words, do your homework.
I bought a used vehicle there four years ago, and the way I was treated by the sales person (looks like she still works there by the way) was appalling. By using our Services or clicking I agree, you agree to our use of cookies.

Courtesy Chrysler is the worst I have ever dealt with.
Good service and finance manager is not a slimy douche like in other places. Thanks in advance! 5. Agreed. ... Hey Calgary Reddit, just a shout out to say thank you to everyone for investing in local artists! The cars that go to auctions are often trade ins that the dealership doesn't want or can't move.
Do you know which ones are reputed car dealers that I should consider? Don't go near them. Did a credit check with Calgary Honda to see where my financing options were at. We caught a good deal at a dealship used car lot - knew the model we liked and found one which was not the dealers brand, had been a trade-in, and had been there a while - suspect that they were tired of looking at it and moved it out at a good price, which was $10,000 for a year newer model than a comparable at a dealership of that brand who wanted $12,000. I've also heard that Village Honda is good too. Does anyone have experience here with used car dealerships.

Not worth the risk. Airdrie Honda is well reviewed if you're willing to make the drive. Once had to bring in our 2007 Camry due to a recall, brought it in, told us what they'll do, etc, got a shuttle home, and shuttled back 2 hours later with our car good to go. Zero complaints. Good luck.
It's been 15+ years since I dealt with them and I still hold a grudge.
Cars are a money pit, so better to just get used to the idea you won't be happy with what it costs you. If you can't afford 4 years of payments for a car you can't afford the car.
They have a very knowledgeable and friendly sales team to work with.

Was shopping for a new ride a few years back. Still get an independent inspection on any used vehicle. If you search “car dealerships” in r/Calgary you’ll find past people that have asked the same thing. I would honestly go down there and walk the lot and see if anything catches your eye.
This is very helpful.
